SSC members have access not only to an innovative web-based software platform, but to a collection of services—from peer benchmarking to live webinars to national student success summits—designed to facilitate cross-membership learning and maximize the value of participation in the collaborative.
Examples of ways the Student Success Collaborative will benefit The University of Alabama:
- Support the focus on retention and student success (graduation) among advisors, academic departments, colleges, and staff engaged in student support services
- Leverage “big data” by analyzing past student performance at The Capstone with the goal of identifying where students tend to get slowed down on their way to graduation, and to connect a student to the pathways and support services that most enable a student to be academically successful
- Enhance advising activities with the goal of proactive intervention-based approaches for an integrated student-centered process across the campus community
- Provide students and advisers with course and academic major success metrics including alternative course and academic major trajectories
