We are offering a 1-hr workshop covering the best practices of experiential learning on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, 9:00-10:00 am, with a repeat workshop on Thursday, April 16, 2015, 2:00-3:00 pm. (See description below)
Also, we are offering a 3-hr in-depth workshop covering how to create a high quality experiential learning opportunity on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. (See description below)

1) Best Practices of Experiential Learning
This 1-hour workshop is part of the quality enhancement plan for the
University. Faculty/staff will learn about best practices of
experiential learning. The workshop is intended for faculty/staff who
are currently offering experiential learning opportunities or are
learning about it for the first time. At the end of the workshop faculty
who currently offer experiential learning opportunities will be
prepared to (1) apply for recognition and certification of their
existing experiential learning opportunities and/or (2) apply for a
variety of mini-grants for resources. Faculty/staff who are new to
experiential learning will be prepared for the next workshop, “Creating
Best-Practices Experiential Learning Opportunities.” Attendees will
receive $100 for teaching/research/travel expenses. Refreshments will be
Wed. March 25 – 9-10 a.m. OR Thurs. April 16 – 2-3 p.m.
2) Creating Best-Practices Experiential Learning Opportunities
This 3-hour workshop is part of the quality enhancement plan for the
University. Faculty/staff will learn how a transformational experiential
learning opportunity can be incorporated in different courses and
settings. At the end of the workshop faculty will be prepared to apply
for mini-grants for (1) adapting an existing course for certification as
a high quality experiential learning opportunity, (2) creating a new
course/experiential learning opportunity, and/or (3) other resources.
Attendees will receive $300 for teaching/research/travel expenses. Meal
will be served.
