SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Successful grant proposal will include:

I. Project Title

  • Include the course title and number.

II. Project Description

  • Identify what you plan to do differently that will promote active and collaborative learning in your course and discuss how the proposed change will improve the students classroom experience and learning.
  • Identify the student learning outcomes and method of evaluation using the template below.

III. Assessment Plan

  • Explain how you will determine whether the active and collaborative learning activities resulted in improved learning. Include:
    • Baseline outcomes data for the course as it currently exists
    • Compare baseline data using a Pre-Test/Post-Test Design
    • Compare baseline data using Comparison Groups (multiple sections)

IV. Impact Analysis

  • Describe the level of impact in number of students that the course changes will have.
  • Applicability to other courses (within or outside your discipline).

V. Implementation Plan

  • Specify when the redesigned course will be offered.
  • Provide a date when a final report, outcomes analysis, will be delivered.

VI. Financial Support Request

  • Detail the specific costs for implementation of active and collaborative learning methods.

VII. Course Syllabus

  • Attach a detailed course syllabus.
